My name is Scott Justason, I am the founder of Delta T Inspection Services of Iowa, based in Rowley, just south of Independence midway between Cedar Rapids and Waterloo.
After fighting fires for the U.S. Navy from 1978 - 1982, I graduated from Northeast Institute of Industrial Technology in Boston MA, and obtained a MA Refrigeration Technicians License in 1983. I also attended Northeastern University, 1992-1995 and was awarded the Certificate of Professional Achievement in Building Design and Management - HVAC Systems Design.
I serviced and installed residential and commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems throughout the 1980's. Operated the HVAC/R department for a marine biological laboratory in support of life support systems through most of the 1990's.
Since coming to Iowa in 1998, I've worked as a service engineer for a major manufacturer of residential, industrial and commercial HVAC products. During this time, I've obatained all the proper licenses and certificates required by the state. Feel free to view those items on my credentials page.
The heating, ventilation and cooling industry is unique in that it requires qualifications in all of the major trades involved in the construction and maintenance of residential and commercial properties. My experience and training in these fields is what qualifies Delta T Inspection Services of Iowa to be your one stop shop for your home or commercial inspection needs.

Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult. Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work, a lot of work. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector's own effort.
